ETX authorities arrest man for cutting water line

Bobby Conner Bobby Conner

TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Trinity County authorities have arrested a man who has openly admitted to cutting a water line on his property.

Bobby Conner is charged with disruption of utility services, a third-degree felony.

In a previous report from July, Conner told KTRE he dug up his water line and used a chain saw to cut it, forcing 75 customers of Nogalus Central water company to lose their water.

Conner said he did not want to give the water company permission to lay the line across his property, so he took matters into his own hands by cutting the line.

In an interview with the water company president, Kenneth Jones said he was making arrangements to move the line.

The Trinity County Sheriff's Office arrested Conner at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
