Two-A-Days Tour: Tyler Lee Red Raiders

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -  It wasn't a typical training camp opening for the Tyler Lee Red Raiders.  For the first time, in a long time, Mike Owens wasn't on the field.  The Randy Huffstickler era has begun.

Huffstickler has been a long time assistant with the Red Raiders., but it was an exciting day for coach leading the team for the first time.

"We love coach Huff," said quarterback Joseph Seeber.  "He's done a great job with the defense for years. I personally, he was my first tee ball coach, so I love the guy. I know we all do and respect him and his changes and I think we'll have a good season."

There's a lot of work to be done.  Lee finished just 2 and 9 last season. Coach Huffstickler brings a bit of new hope.

"What we had was pretty good and what we've done with the past was pretty good," said Huffstickler.   "So there's no big overhaul, but minor adjustments and tweaks that we think are going to help us get better."
