School aide arrested for 'compromising' pic of disabled student

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - A school aide has been arrested after he allegedly took a "compromising" picture of a developmentally disabled girl at his school.

Michael Corum, 49, of Tucson, was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of
surreptitious photographing, both felonies.

In March, Tucson Police detectives began investigating Corum, a behavioral health aide at the Mary Meredith K-12 School, 755 N. Magnolia Ave., after they were told he had child pornography on his computer, police said.

They said they found a picture of a 15-year-old disabled student "in a compromising pose." They determined the photo was taken in the school.

Corum was booked into the Pima County Jail.

The full press release from the Tucson Police Department:

In March 2011, the ICAC Unit began an investigation into Corum after information was received that Corum had images on his computer depicting suspected child pornography. As the investigation continued, Detectives developed enough information to obtain a search warrant for Corum's residence. A forensic analysis of the contents of Corum's home computer was conducted. The forensic analyst was able to retrieve an image depicting an apparently teenaged girl in a compromising pose.
