LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - For the 2nd straight year the Spring Hill Panthers enter the season sharing a district with not one, but two reigning state champions (Carthage & Henderson). That's why we call it the district of doom.
The Panthers are the smallest school in district 16-3A, but they don't see any reason why they can't fight there way into the playoffs this season. You can see it on their chest every practice. Players wear shirts that read 'We Will Win.'
"We will win means that it don't matter what's happened in the past few years," said Spring Hill Senior Dalton Huffman. "We're always going to have high hopes and we're going to get it done this year."
Coach Poe brought the phrase to Spring Hill last season. In year two under Poe, the Panthers are starting to believe.
"He (Coach Poe) came in and has beaten it into our heads that we will win," said Spring Hill Quarterback Landry Lee. "You've got to believe, you've got to have talent, work hard everyday and push yourself through it."
