WOOD COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Wood County emergency management confirms that heat was the cause of Thursday's train derailment near CR 2790 and Highway 80 in Wood County.
This is the second train derailment in the same spot, in the past month. After repairs were made from the first derailment, the rails expanded causing it to buckle, leading to Thursday's derailment.
Crews are replacing the rails again and hope to have the line operational by Friday afternoon.
No injuries were reported, and all train personnel were accounted for.
Officials say all of the derailed cars were carrying grain.
