Six East Texas Schools will receive an honor on November 20, for excellence. Hudson Elementary in Longview, Lamar Elementary in Sulphur Springs, Lufkin Middle School in Lufkin, Marshall Junior High in Marshall, Moore Middle School in Tyler and Winnesboro High School in Winnsboro are all set to receive the honor given out by the Texas Buisness adn Education Coaliton. 118 schools are getting the honor, which is representative of high academic standards compared to the schools overall demographic. The past three years standardized testing results were used to calculate scores. The schools receiving the honor are the top three percent out of more than 6,000 schools statewide.
