TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The Drug Enforcement Administration, Tyler received a tip that Curtis Cotton was selling prescription drugs.
An undercover DEA agent met with Cotton at The Abbey Apartments off of Shiloh Road in Tyler. The undercover agent asked to buy 500 Xanax tablets for $1,000. Cotton agreed and sold the undercover agent the tablets.
We're told that when the undercover agent gave Cotton the $1000, Cotton acted as though he was being "ripped off." DEA then took Cotton into custody.
Cotton had a small amount of cocaine, prescription medication and a .45 caliber pistol in his possession at the time of his arrest. He was taken to the Smith County Jail, charged with "possession of a controlled substance."
