Man Shot After Mistaken For A Hog

In a bizarre hunting accident, a man is shot with a semi-automatic rifle, after being mistaken for an animal. The Flower Mound man is listed in fair condition at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. The incident happened on private property off of FM 860 in northern Anderson County Tuesday night. Christopher McCrae was hunting with other church members. They apparently thought McCrae was a Feral hog and shot him once in the abdomen with an AK-47 rifle. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says no alcohol was involved and the shooting is being considered accidental.
