HUNT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Arturo Vega's attorney filed three motions Monday afternoon in the 354th Judicial District Court of Judge Richard Beacom.
According to the Hunt County District Attorney's office, one of the motions requested that the crime scene be preserved until an investigator from Vega's defense team could review it.
The other two motions filed concerned how Vega's attorney was going to receive payment and a request for the defense team to have an investigator.
Another hearing date has not been set. Both capital murder suspects are being hold on a $2 million bond each in the Hunt County Jail.
Vega and his fiancé, Gabriela Ortiz are accused of killing two-year-old Brandon Herrera. Authorities say Brandon was abused by the couple for weeks leading up to his brutal death.
In previous interviews, authorities have said there's still a possibility of more charges and even arrests.
As Monday afternoon, investigators did not have additional information about the case to release.
