TYLER, TX (KLTV) - A Winona man is asking East Texas for help after his sister, a member of the National Guard, was left paralyzed after a deadly vehicle crash.
20-year-old Kadie Powell was ejected from a vehicle on Highway 31 last week. She fractured several bones in her face and severed her spinal chord.
Since she was injured while "off duty," she will not be receiving any help with her medical bills from the National Guard.
Her brother say's anything will help his sister as she prepares for a long recovery.
Donations for Kadie Powell can be made at any Regions Bank location throughout the South.
