Alleged Angelina meth cook, 3 others named in 66-count federal indictment

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man alleged to be own of East Texas' most prolific meth cooks and three women are named in a 66-count federal indictment accusing them of buying pseudophedrine from various stores in the area and using it to cook meth.

A federal grand jury has indicted David Arthur Dunman, 52, Deana Sunshine Turner, Jennifer Jon Holliday, 33, of Lufkin, and Crystal Ware Keisler, 23, of Newton, on one count of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and 64 counts possession of a list 1 chemical. Dunman is also charged with one count of maintaining a place for the manufacture, distribution and use of methamphetamine.

The indictment lists 64 different times the suspects went to Sam's, Walmart, CVS and Walgreen's in Angelina, Nacogdoches, Polk, Smith, Harrison, Harris, Montgomery and Galveston counties to purchase pseudophedrine. They would then take the pseudophedrine to Dunman's residency, located on FM 842 in Angelina County, where he would cook and distribute meth, according to the indictment.

The indictment orders the forfeiture of 15 different guns, ammunition, Dunman's residence, a 2002 Ford truck and a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

It appears this is the first time the three women have received drug-related charges. Criminal records show no previous convictions for Holliday, while Turner and Keisler have theft and burglary convictions on their records.

Holliday caught national attention in 2005 when she was the victim of a shooting and sexual assault, while her friend, Ana Franklin, was shot to death by Eric Parnell. Holliday suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. She appeared on national television shows to tell her story of surviving the attack.

Dunman was re-booked into the Angelina County Jail on Thursday. The women have not yet been booked in the Angelina County Jail on the charges.
