TYLER, TX (KLTV) - One of the hardest things to do in sports is hitting a baseball. Imagine doing it with your eyes closed. The Tyler Tigers would like you to give it a try this weekend. The team is hosting a beep baseball camp, Saturday morning at the John Tyler soccer fields.
Beep baseball gives blind athletes a chance to compete in the sport most of us take for granted. The Tigers are also getting ready for the World Series in Indiana later this month.
"Every year I look forward to it and going out and competing with other athletes," said Tigers manager Larry Reed. "I want the public to come out Saturday and put a blind fold on and walk a mile in our shoes to see how we cope with our blindness in everyday life."
