Woman survives assault, dog bites attacker

Tyler Police say around 9:35 Monday night, officers were called to an assault near the 2900 block of Jamestown Drive.

When they arrived on the scene, a woman told officers she was attacked by a white male while jogging.

The victim told officers that during the assault her dog possibly bit her attacker in the face. The victim had apparent minor injuries to her neck that did not require medical treatment.

The victim described the white male as approximately 35 years old, medium build, 5'09"-6'00"tall, short brown hair and wearing a white T-shirt and long khaki pants. At this time the investigation into the incident continues.
