Grant's Grilled Sirloin
Sirloin steak
Olive oil
Sea salt grinder (Sweet Gourmet)
Black pepper grinder (Sweet Gourmet)
Fresh herbs
Hand held tenderizer (Jaccard)
Take your sirloin. Pound the Jaccard 15 to 20 times on each side across the steak. Once done manually bring the steak back to the original shape. Spread olive oil across the steak and cover generously with sea salt and black pepper. On a hot skillet sear each side of the sirloin for 1 minute. Then place on the grill and grill to your liking, about 3 minutes each side for a good medium rare for a ¾" steak. Once the steak is finish plate and cover with fresh herbs of your choice, sage and rosemary work great.
