KILGORE, TX (KLTV) - Doctors thought 56-year-old Jeannie Davis was cancer-free after she had her right brest removed in May. But doctors soon discovered her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes.
Now, Jeannie needs another surgery...this time to remove her lymph nodes. But she can't afford it. So, her sister Rose stepped in.
With the help of friends, Rose set up the "Jeannie Davis Fund." She is asking for donations to help cover her sister's medical and day-to-day costs.
She is also selling candles to help bring the money in.
Jeannie's sister, Rose Esquivel say's her sister has always taken are of everyone around her. Now, it's time to return the favor.
"I feel like it's our turn now to take care of her," said Esquivel.
Donations can be made at Citizen's Bank in Kilgore.
