Upshur Co. woman found dead with single gunshot wound

Released by the Upshur County Sheriff's Office:

UPSHUR COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - On Saturday July 2, 2011 at approximately 4:36 p.m. the Upshur County Sheriff Office was dispatched to a residence on Nutmeg Rd in reference to a possible shooting.

Upon Deputies arrival they discovered a white female that was deceased. The victim later identified as Cindy Tigue Espinoza, 52, appeared to have injuries consistent with a single gunshot wound.

Deputies located a 54-year-old male subject later identified as Glenn Wade Myers Jr. at a nearby residence who was charged with Espinoza's murder.

Upshur County Justice of the Peace Pct. #2 Lyle Potter ordered an autopsy of Espinoza and her body was taken to Southeast Texas Forensic Center in Tyler, TX.

Myers was taken to the Upshur County Jail where he was charged with Murder and an outstanding Wood County warrant for DWI. Justice of the Peace Pct. #2 Lyle Potter set bonds on Myers at $350,000 on the Murder charge and $6,000 on the DWI charge.    

Investigators with the Upshur County Sheriff Office are still investigating the case.
