VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Van Zandt County Commissioner Ricky LaPrade was arrested fro DWI around 9:30 Sunday night.
Canton Police say LaPrade was pulled over for running a stop sign at FM 1255 and Interstate 20.
DPS Trooper Jason Matura says there was a 30-pack of Coors Light on the passenger floorboard of LaPrade's personal vehicle at the time of his arrest. Matura estimates about 10 cans were missing.
Matura went on to say that LaPrade did not resist arrest, but did refuse a breathalyzer.
We're also told LaPrade's eyes were blood-shot, and his speech slurred.
A State Trooper was called to the scene to perform a field sobriety test.
The arrest came two days after LaPrade was arrested misapplication of fiduciary property on Friday, July 1st. LaPrade posted $10,000 bond Friday night.
This is the second time this year LaPrade has been arrested on DWI charges. The first was in April.
LaPrade posted $3,500 bond Monday morning at 10 a.m.
