NEW DIANA, TX (KLTV) - It's an honor as big as Texas for New Diana's High School marching band. They will represent the State at the Fourth of July parade in Washington D.C.
New Diana's Band Director, George Little, says that he couldn't be more proud of his students.
"For these kids to get to see some of the fruits of their labor really unique reward I'm very proud of the students and very proud of them," Little said.
"I'm also excited to be able to march in the Fourth of July parade, because Fourth of July is our day. So, I'm really excited." Band member Kimberly Voight said.
Some of the students in the band have already graduated, but will still be apart of this opportunity to represent Texas at the D.C. Fourth of July parade.
The cost of the trip was paid for from business donations, the band selling almost 20,000 candy bars, and lots and lots of practice.
