WWII vet receives high school diploma

NEW YORK (CNN) - He put his education on hold to serve his country, but now, an 89-year-old World War II vet is officially a graduate.

In New York, 89-year old Robert Hunt was awarded his high school diploma.

Hunt dropped out of school in 1942 to enlist during WWII.

He even had a few words of advice for his younger classmates, namely don't do drugs and pursue your dreams.
