Tyler Man Shot By Friend

One man is killed, another left injured after their friend attacked them with a shotgun at a South Tyler home early Sunday. Noah Jonathan Byrd, 20, was arrested by Tyler Police and charged with murder. He remains in the Smith County Jail tonight on a $250,000 bond. Witnesses say Byrd and the two victims were at a party at a home located at 412 Aspen Circle. They say Byrd was drinking and apparently threatened to shoot a female at the party. J.C. Herron, 20,  came to the woman's defense.  That's when Byrd turned the gun on him and fired. Another man, 26-year-old Ryan Hansen, was also shot. He was taken to Mother Frances in Tyler where he remains in serious condition. There was no apparent motive for the shootings. Tyler police are investigating.
