LONGIEW,TX (KLTV)- The red cross held a blood drive in Longview in honor of a toddler struggling to survive. Good Shepherd medical center hosted the blood drive, today. It was for 21 month old Ty McCullar, who suffers from neuroblastoma, and can't speak or walk because of his medical condition. It was called 'the Ty that binds blood drive'. Organizers say it was important to name the drive for ty to help make people more aware of the desperate need for blood for people of all ages. Red cross workers say less than 8-percent of all American's actually donate blood. They urge everyone to donate.
