TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Adults and kids alike grabbed their rifles and headed to the woods. But, don't worry, all of that shooting was to raise money for a good cause.
Farmers Insurance hosted its 3rd annual Clays for Kids event at Rose City Flying Clays.
Families and friends teamed up and faced off in a clay shooting contest. Trophies and blue-ray players were just some of the prizes the shooters could aim for. Shooters also enjoyed a free lunch.
The event raised 7,500 dollars for March of Dimes. Money Susie Johnson of Farmers Insurance says will help East Texas babies.
"We just appreciate all the community support because we get the care that we need for our babies here locally instead of going to Dallas or Houston every trip," said Johnson.
