UPSHUR COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A Gilmer man died Friday night after the motorcycle he was driving struck a cow in the road on State Highway 154 in Upshur County.
A justice of the peace pronounced Rafeal Tramaine Gunter, 20, dead at the scene.
According to the DPS report, Gunter was driving a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle eastbound on Highway 154 when he struck the cow. He was four miles west of Gilmer.
Gunter's friend tells KLTV Gunter was wearing a helmet.
A memorial fund has been established for Gunter by his grandmother Patricia Davis. Donations can be deposited in Davis's name at the First National Bank of Gilmer in Gilmer, Pittsburg and Big Sandy.
