Revolutionary Marker Dedicated in Elysian Fields

The grave of a revolutionary war soldier, and Texas independence fighter was recognized with a patriotic marker. The grave of Bailey Anderson Sr. Was found by members of the sons and daughters of the American revolution at a remote site in Elysian Fields.

He served in the colonial army during the revolutionary war, was an Indian fighter, and took part in the fight for Texas independence. His decedents were on hand today for a formal ceremony , complete with full soldiers honors , and a color guard in period colonial uniforms.

A plaque was dedicated recognizing Anderson as a patriot. He died in 1840 at the age of 86.
