UPSHUR COUNTY, TEXAS - Upshur County and Gregg County fire crews continue to battle a wildfire that's consumed dozens of acres.
The fire is burning just north of FM 1844, between State Highway 300 and US Highway 259, not far from the Gregg County, Upshur County line.
The Texas Forest Service and several area fire crews are on the scene.
Officials tell us 10 families have left their homes due to the blaze which has scorched more than 50 acres, and were still being kept away from their homes earlier this evening.
No injuries have been reported, tonight, and that the fire is nearly 80 percent contained. We're told is did get very close to several structures.
