TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Two indictments were handed down in the case surrounding the shooting of an East Texas Sheriff's Deputy.

Kara Adams and Jeffrey Andrysiak were both indicted Thursday for engaging in organized crime and manufacture delivery of a controlled substance.

Adams was reportedly renting the apartment where Deputy Josh Caulkins was shot while trying to serve a warrant back in March.

Deputy Caulkins was shot in the chest, but a bulletproof vest stopped the bullet.

The alleged gunman in the shooting, Christopher Summerville is charged with assault on a public servant.
