Longview man charged with attacking elderly father

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - A Longview man has been arrested for allegedly attacking his father.

Michael Eric Lee, 39, is charged with attacking and stabbing his father, 65-year-old H. Lee on May 19 during an altercation at Lee's mother's house, over family land in Gladewater.

According to authorities, Lee had asked his father to allow him to have an acre of family land so that he could move there. When his father wouldn't agree, Lee became angry and yelled at his father, moving towards him "in an aggressive manner".

Lee's father told him he would not be his "punching bag" anymore and asked him to leave.

When Lee refused to leave and continued to move towards him, his father sprayed him with pepper spray and left the residence.

Once outside, the father realized his arm had been cut by Lee with an unknown object.

A neighbor drove Lee's father to a local hospital where he received twelve stitches to the cut on the top of his right arm.

Michael Eric Lee was taken into custody on Wednesday and has been charged with injury to the elderly. His bond is set at $10,000.
