TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The United Way spread their caring throughout Tyler on Friday.
The 18th Annual Day of Caring had volunteers across the city sprucing up non-profit properties. Folks were putting up retaining walls around some Habitat for Humanity homes. They started before 8:00 am Friday morning and ended their day around 3:00 pm.
Tabitha Beal is a secretary at ETMC and talked her boss into a day off to work really hard.
"We try to help out every year if we can. It's a good cause, so they're okay with it. Going from working in an office to workout out here, but it's a good change to help some good people," says Beal.
Hundreds of volunteers took on 40 projects that could be done in one day.
