NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - An SFA student who worked as an intern with Nacogdoches Police died Wednesday afternoon following a one-vehicle wreck on State Highway 21.
Rebecca Jeanne Gore, 19, of San Augustine, was pronounced dead at 3:22 p.m. at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
According to the DPS report, Gore was driving a 1998 Ford truck westbound on Highway 21 at 2 p.m., nine-tenths of a mile from FM 226, when she left the road, overturned and was ejected from the truck.
She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Police spokesman Greg Sowell said Gore had been working since August as an administrative intern with the department.
