TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler Police received numerous tips after the news media released information about the man who allegedly took pictures under young girls' skirts and exposed himself at Kohl's.

Investigators were able to identify the suspect in this case based on those tips.

Jose Alberto Mejia, 25, of Longview turned himself into investigators Wednesday afternoon.

Mejia has been charged with Class B Misdemeanor Indecent Exposure and a State Jail Felony of Improper Photography.

Judge Kennedy issued a warrant and set bond at $50,000.

Jose Mejia is incarcerated at the Smith County Jail.

According to the Gregg County Sheriff's Department, this is not the first time Mejia has been arrested. He has been jailed on separate incidents of indecent exposure back in 2009. He was also brought in on cruelty to animals charges in 2008.
