Tyler Hosts Walk for MS

Bergfeld Park in Tyler was crowded Saturday morning as the Multiple Sclerosis Society held its annual walk. The walk helped to raise about $30,000 dollars through pledges.

It's just the third year for the walk to be held in Tyler, but organizers say there is tremendous support from the community.

"I can tell you, this is the 16th walk we've done this year throughout the chapter and I can tell you the volunteer support here was better than any other region," said Doug Suggitt, MS Society Regional Director.

Multiple Sclerosis affects more than $14,000 people just in Texas. The money raise Saturday will go toward MS reasearch in East Texas.
