Mission Tyler on a mission for Joplin

Posted: Updated:

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - East Texans are traveling together this week to Joplin to serve and give to those effected by the tornado.

Cori Moore and her husband had plans to travel to Galveston for Memorial weekend, but, they decided to save up for a different adventure.

After seeing the damage done to Joplin, Moore knew she needed to begin the calls for help.

Even though Moore's group of over 30 people are bringing a trailer full of supplies, they have a different agenda once they get  up  here.

Moore and Mission Tyler plan to do everything they can to bring peace to Joplin.

The group is leaving for Joplin on Thursday at 7 pm, driving straight through, working Friday and Saturday, to return around 4 on Sunday.

With just a few days till departure, they are calling for volunteers of any kind. If you are interested in volunteering or donating supplies, contact Cori Moore at tx4joplin@yahoo.com

Or contact Travis White at Mission Tyler.
