Car chase sends four to hospital

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - A car chase that was over just as soon as it started sent four people to the hospital.

The chase ended on the 200 block of Arthur Street in Longview around noon.
A DPS trooper was in the area when he noticed something suspicious.

"The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle for what appeared to be a burglary in progress the suspect then fled the officer," said Trooper Bryan Thurston, DPS.

DPS officials say 22-year-old Earnest Survia Jr.  then took off a explorer leading the trooper on a chase through the neighborhood. Survia ended up running a stop sign, hit another vehicle.

The chase then ended on Arthur street and Annette Dr. with the vehicle flipping over with two innocent children trapped inside.

DPS officials say the children, who are four and six along with their mother, who was in the front seat were taken to a Longview hospital.

"The children its unknown the severity of their injuries but they were transported to the hospital," said Thurston.

The woman in the other car was also taken to the hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. No DPS officials were hurt in the car chase.

Earnest Survia is now facing charges of evading, two counts of child endangerment, and assault with a motor vehicle.

We're told that the children, along with the victim in the other vehicle are in good condition.
