Tatum 19-year-old arrested for stabbing another man
RUSK COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - On May 8, 2011, at approximately 3:30am, Rusk County Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to an aggravated assault. The Deputies arrived at County Road 2174, in Rusk County, where they found the victim, a white male, 22, of Tatum, with stab wounds to the back. The victim was transported via ambulance to a local hospital where he underwent surgery due to his injuries.
An investigation by Rusk County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigators and Rusk County District Attorney Office Investigator, lead to an arrest warrant for a suspect in the stabbing. The investigation team, with the assistance of Gregg County Sheriff's Office, executed an arrest warrant issued by County Court at Law, Judge Chad Dean, for a suspect. At approximately 800am, a suspect, white male, 19, of Tatum, was located in Gregg County where he was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Sheriff Danny R. Pirtle stated this was diligent work by The Rusk County Sheriff's Office, Rusk County District Attorney's Office, and Gregg County Sheriff's Office, who worked together, as a team, to locate and arrest the suspect in this crime.

The suspect remains in the Rusk County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
