The Diner Chicago Dog


An 8 ounce Angus Hot Dog

Hot dog buns, 2

Tomatoes sliced 1/4 inch thick, 2

Dill pickle slices, 6

Sweet Relish, to taste

Yellow Mustard, to taste

Grilled onions, 1/2 cup

Celery salt

Cook dog anyway you like. Place in bun and run a bead of yellow mustard down both sides of the dog. Run a bead of sweet relish down each side of the dog. Place all of the dill pickle slices across the top of the dog. Grill the tomatoes and onions till tender and place on top of the dog. This whole process of adding the vegetables is called "Drag through the garden". When finished, sprinkle a liberal amount of celery salt across the top.
