Crack, guns, children taken in Tyler narcotics raids

TYLER, TX (KLTV) – The Tyler Police Department Narcotics Unit along with the SWAT team executed two separate narcotics search warrants in Tyler on Thursday.
Upon search of the residence, authorities say crack-cocaine, assorted pills, and several weapons were found.
The first warrant was executed at a home in the 3100 block of Frankston Hwy. Jerry Lewis Bowens, 28, and Brittany Michelle Cox, 21, were both arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of controlled substance and possession of dangerous drugs.
Additionally, Bowen was charged with theft a firearm, while Cox was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to Police, the search of the second residence, located in the 1600 block of Outer Drive, turned up 9.3 grams of crack-cocaine. Investigators arrested and charged Justin Demone Smith, 22, and Denise Sessions, 23, with manufacture and delivery of controlled substance.
Aithorities say Kara Crawford, 26, was found with marijuana, and is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Child Protective Services was called and took custody of three small children who were inside the residence at the time of the raid.
