HOPKINS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - KLTV has confirmed that a former East Texas Band Director convicted of sexual assault is back in jail.

Prosecutors in Hopkins County say Paul Bramlett violated the terms of his probation by getting too close to a "child safety zone."

According to Hopkins County District Attorney, Bramlett was living 1,000 feet away from a park before he was put on probation and he did not move.

Hopkins County officials filed a motion to revoke Bramlett's probation on Friday and Bramlett turned himself into Hopkins County on Monday. He was then taken into custody by Franklin County authorities.

Just last month, the former Winnsboro Band Director plead guilty to charges of sexual assault of a child and child indecency charges.

He was released after serving a 30-day jail sentence.

If found guilty of a probation violation, Bramlett could be sentenced to twenty years.
