SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) – The search for last week's mall shooter has ended with the arrest of two murder suspects.

Police say that 24-year-old Terrance Widemon is the suspect in last week's shooting at Broadway Square Mall. He surrendered in Longview Monday afternoon.

While no one was hurt in that shooting, officials say that Widemon may have also been involved in a nearly six year old murder.

Upon further investigation, police secured evidence indicating that Widemon was the getaway driver during a fatal shooting in 2005 at a convenience store. It was during that incident that 19-year-old Christopher Horn was shot during an altercation with Bryante Gee.

Horn was taken to East Texas Medical Center where he was then pronounced dead.

"Anytime we have a homicide and can clear it and you know we have done our job, then we again are able to put closure for the families that have lost a loved one," says Don Martin of the Tyler Police Department.

Widemon and Gee are now being held at Smith County Jail. They were transferred from Gregg County Jail Tuesday afternoon. Both could face charges of first degree murder, and bonds have been set at one-million dollars apiece.
