TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The state dismissed the remaining charges pending against Charles Robinson, Thursday.

The Tyler dentist accused of illegally filming female tenants agreed to a plea deal to serve a 10 year prison sentence for burglary of a habitation back in February.

At the time of the plea deal, Smith County Prosecutor Tondra Curry said it was likely the other charges would be dropped because in order to proceed with them the recordings would have to be released and made public. The victims in the case did not want to be 're-victimized" by the public viewing of these recordings, according to Curry.

Curry said that when you consider what the victim wanted, justice has been served.

"This man in his late 50s having never been there before is going to the Texas penitentiary and that is significant. At the same time, the victim in this case., it's over for her now. She can start recovering," said Curry.
