Breaking ground on ground-breaking memory care

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Bulldozers will be getting to work as soon as Tuesday on Sundance at Oak hill, the new memory care community center in Tyler.

The ground breaking ceremony took place Monday for the facility off Old Jacksonville Hwy. Sundance will serve as a living facility for residents who suffer from Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

"We really wanted to focus on the level of care. I think it is easy to build a facility, but to provide the kind of care that we want to provide, we just saw a really missing component in that. We wanted to broaden the spectrum and bring a level of care to Tyler," says Matt Stanley.

Stanley says the facility should be finished and ready to open by November of this year.
