Family Care Expo Vendors Still Report Not Being Paid

A follow-up on a story we've been covering: Some folks still have not been paid from the Family Care Expo in Tyler two weeks ago, that according to the Better Business Bureau.

The Expo was put on by Total Quest Industries and promoter Jason Carr. Several people who worked the event, as well as numerous vendors had not been paid as of last week.

Carr contacted Channel 7 after our report and said arrangements had been made to pay everyone by the first part of this week.

Today, the Better Business Bureau's Kay Robinson said while some payments had been made, at least two other checks bounced. Robinson said an associate of Carr's stated the company's funds had run out.

We were unable to contact Carr for a statement today.
