Military families celebrating Armed Forces

TYLER, TX (KLTV) – Military families in East Texas are celebrating as Javier Castillo arrived home Monday. Castillo is the first East Texas soldier to come home since the news broke of Osama bin Laden's death.

Teresa Hebebrand, a US Navy Veteran says, "It's very strenuous on any family member of one that's serving in a war zone and I caught myself with the news on 24/7."

Hebebrand has been awaiting the news of Osama bin Laden's death for years.

"Very proud. Very proud. There's nothing like the sense of pride that serving in the military gives you, and when you hear of accomplishments from other shipmates, it's very rewarding," adds Hebebrand.

Her son has served two tours in Iraq and may have to be deployed for a third time. She says knowing that bin Laden is dead gives her some relief, but not the closure she needs.

Although it is over, Hebebrand is focused on the accomplishment our Armed Forces have been working on for a decade.

"I was very pleased, very relieved; I'm concerned, you know, that there will be somebody else taking his place. But I think at least now that'll show them t hat we are serious and we're not going to stop until they stop," says Hebebrand.
