Bin Laden's death: Smith County party chairs weigh in

TYLER, TX (KLTV) – Democrats and Republicans have similar emotions regarding the death of Osama bin Laden, but there are a few differences between the two sides opinions.

Smith County Republican Party Chairman Ashton Oravetz and Democratic Party Chairman David Henderson explain their own opinions.

Ashton Oravets says, "I think it is a combination of what Bush put in on this. I was sort of shocked that Obama did this to be honest, and it's one of the few things he's done that has pleased me."

Dave Henderson explains, "President Obama inherited quite a mess. He's, I think, coped with the situation well. I don't agree with everything that he's done but I think he's doing probably the best job he can do under the circumstances."
