Harrison County man wanted for creating phony payroll checks

HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Harrison County Sheriff's investigators have released Crime Stoppers information regarding Mark McCullars, W/M, 02/12/1968. McCullars is a person of interest in many forgeries that have occurred in the last few weeks. He is the person suspected of creating phony payroll checks with fabricated company names, but using the Harrison County Jail Commissary banking account and transaction numbers. His M/O is to create these payroll checks with over the counter check stock and a computer. He will then pass these checks through several people and they will then cash them. These checks were made out in the person's name, with the phony business name, who then cashed them grocery stores and liquor stores in Marshall, Longview, Canton, and Grand Prairie, Texas. The following persons have been arrested in relationship to the case.

Melissa Dinkins, W/F/10-24-1986. Bonded out of jail with bond of $14,000.

Larry Ratley, W/M/08/21/1970. In custody on bond of $11,000.

McCullars has a Marshall, Texas address, but has not been apprehended. He is charged in warrants for parole violation and Identity Theft.
