Insanity Plea Shot Down in Longview

An insanity claim has been shot down by a psychiatric examination, in the case of a Longview man for his alleged part in the murder of his estranged wife.

40 year old James Lloyd Reedy had claimed that he was insane and had no memory of the June 9th incident in which police say he shot his wife, 31 year old Lori long. But in a court ordered mental examination, Reedy was found not to have any mental disease or defect... And that he knew his conduct was wrong.

He remains in jail on 2 million dollars bond... Charged with murder.
