Severe storms possible Monday and Tuesday

There is a chance of severe weather effecting East Texas on Monday and Tuesday as a complex weather system sends two fast moving systems through the area.  Our first system will move across the Red River Valley late tomorrow bringing a dryline, a front separating moist air to the east and dry air to the west, through the area.  As this occurs thunderstorms will develop to our west tomorrow afternoon and spread East into the area.  Any storm that develops tomorrow could produce very large hail and isolated tornadoes.  The best timing for seeing severe weather is from 3PM to 11PM tomorrow.  Areas along and north of I-20 stand the best chance of seeing severe weather but even isolated storms could develop to the south and produce severe weather.

On Tuesday another storm system will bring a cold front towards East Texas.  This system also looks strong enough to produce wide spread severe weather with large hail, high winds, and tornadoes possible.  Right now it appears the best chance of seeing severe weather on Tuesday is along the I-20 corridor with the greatest threat occurring between 3PM and 11PM again.

Again this is a developing weather system.  A lot could change between now and late Monday into Tuesday.  Please stay tuned to KLTV and for the latest weather developments
