Locals Go To Help During Isabel

Emergency Red Cross units are preparing for the needs of people caught in Isabel's path of as it threatens the East Coast. Two Red Cross volunteers from Longview have taken a food truck to Nashville, Tennessee.

Organizers say, if homes are destroyed, volunteers will be prepared to help. "They come in to provide emergency needs for families and during that period of time if there is no home they're going to have to provide food clothes and shelter and shelters are even now open for people leaving the costal area," says Longview Red Cross Director Rand E. Morgan.

Red Cross volunteers from all over the country are gathering at the staging area in Nashville.
