Photo Source: WDIV/CNNNEW BALTIMORE, MI (WDIV/CNN) - A 90-year-old fitness instructor in New Baltimore, MI, is proving her age is just a number by teaching her fitness class for more than 30 years.
"The girl who was teaching got married, and so that's why in 1978 I started to teach, and it has done me so much good," said Lillian Lucas.
Ramona Gillette, who takes Lucas's class, says her age is just a number, while Lucas warns her class is not easy just because she is 90.
"She doesn't act like a 90-year-old person; she doesn't seem like a 90-year-old person," Gillette said. "It kind of makes it better because we're not - what would be the word? - intimidated by some young thing in hot tights."
"I'm a tough teacher, and I do it myself, and they see that I'm doing it, and then it encourages them," Lucas said.
