Summerville charged with 6 counts of agg. assault on peace officer

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Investigators have secured evidence that led to an arrest warrant on Christopher Summerville on six counts of aggravated assault of a peace officer, a first degree felony, stemming from the apartment shooting on March 24.

Summerville allegedly shot Smith County Deputy Josh Caulkins, who was attempting to serve an arrest warrant at the Arbors Apartments in Tyler.

Summerville has also been charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a prohibited weapon, and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Judge Jack Skeen set Summerville's total bond on all charges at $7,125,000.

Alleged accomplices Kara Hanley and Jeffery Andrysiak have also been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, a first degree felony.
