JACKSONVILLE, TX - Wednesday night, the Hot Spot convenience store in the 500 block of North Jackson St. in Jacksonville was robbed at gunpoint.

Police arrested Richard Warren, 21, of Jacksonville shortly after the robbery at 10:34 p.m.

Police say the clerk told Warren she did not have much money because she had just made a drop in the safe. Police say Warren then told her, "don't lie to me or I'll kill you."

At gunpoint, police say the clerk emptied the cash register drawer and Warren ran into a wooded area across the street from the store.

Police say they heard him hiding in the bushes and arrested him. Just feet away, police say they discovered $770 in Warren's shoe.

Warren is being held on a $150,000 bond.

Police say this robbery is not related to the Hot Spot robbery Tuesday night in Mt. Selman, considering the suspects are of different races.
